The Sex Pistols are officially returning to North America in fall 2026, reviving a tour that was scrapped last year after guitarist Steve Jones broke his wrist. The tour was set to be the band’s first extended U.S. run since 2003, and featured original members Jones, Glen Matlock, and Paul Cook, alongside vocalist Frank Carter (in place of frontman John “Johnny Rotten” Lydon).

Jones said in a statement at the time: “I’ve got some good news and bad news. What do you want first? Okay, the bad news: I’ve broken my wrist, so unfortunately, we won’t be doing any shows for a while. The good news is the surgeon said I will be back playing guitar in the not-too-distant future. The other good news is I’ll be 70 tomorrow! God bless, and God save the wrist.”

Jones’ injury forced the band to cancel all remaining North and South American dates in September 2025 before the run even began. Now fully healed, Jones is ready to get back onstage as the group marks 50 years since its formation. “Mr. Jones here with an update on my wrist. I think it’s good enough to do the upcoming tour. Now, if I can just stop my legs from buckling up, I think I’ll be in good shape,” Jones shares.

The North American leg launches September 11 in Dallas at the Longhorn Ballroom — the band’s first appearance there since their notorious 1978 show. The trek follows summer appearances across the U.K. and Europe, including a slot at the Isle of Wight Festival, before additional U.K. dates later in the year.

Several cities from the original 2025 schedule have been reinstated, with new stops added in Austin, Boston, Columbus, Houston, Kansas City, Phoenix, Nashville, Salt Lake City, and San Diego. In a few cases, rescheduled concerts will take place at different venues within the same city. Most tickets purchased for the postponed 2025 dates will remain valid for the new shows, though fans are encouraged to confirm details with their point of purchase.

At each concert, the band will perform their iconic 1977 album, Never Mind The Bollocks, Here’s the Sex Pistols, in its entirety and more music in celebration of the band’s 50th anniversary.

Tickets for the North American dates are on sale now; head HERE for info.
